Our team is committed to delivering our therapy services safely. We've implemented the following policies and procedures to mitigate COVID transmission risk:
1. Encourage Group therapists and individuals living in the home with the client are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. If they are not able to get vaccinated the client needs to provide the CEO with a medical exemption letter.
2. Therapists and clients’ parents will complete a declaration form before each therapy service.
3. Therapists will wear masks where possible and appropriate to do so.
4. The therapist will sanitise materials before and after each therapy session.
5. Therapists will download the COVID Safe App.
6. This COVID Safe Plan will be updated per NSW Health regulations.
7. Parents will sanitise work areas before the therapist arrive.
8. Sessions will be cancelled if any person in the client or therapist's home experiences COVID-19 related symptoms. Therapy services will only resume after a negative COVID-19 test result is returned to Encourage Group.
9. Sessions will be cancelled if any person in the client or therapist’s home is identified by NSW health as a close COVID-19 contact. The individuals listed will need to get a test and isolate for 7 days regardless of a negative result.
10. Sessions will be cancelled if any person in the client or therapist’s home is identified as a casual COVID-19 contact. The individuals listed will need to get a test and isolate until a negative result is returned.
11. All Encourage Group therapists will be required to get tested for COVID-19 every fortnight. c
12. Team meetings will go ahead in the client’s home but are limited to 5 people being in the room together.
13. Clinical training and observations by senior clinical staff will resume in the client’s home and or educational settings.
